Hear from Our Customers
You’re not just getting food delivered in boxes. You’re getting a catering experience that takes the pressure off your shoulders completely.
We show up with everything needed—from the kettle-cooked bagels that built our reputation to full BBQ setups where we bring the grills, cook on-site, and handle cleanup. Your guests eat well, you look good, and you actually get to enjoy your own event.
Whether it’s a corporate breakfast meeting, family celebration, or company picnic, we handle the details so you can focus on what matters to you. No scrambling, no last-minute stress, no wondering if the food will actually show up hot and fresh.
Brendel’s Bagels has been feeding Long Island for years, but we’ve never been just a bagel shop. We’re a full-service catering company that happens to make some of the best bagels on the island.
Our kettle-cooking method creates that perfect combination—crispy outside, chewy inside—that Long Island bagel lovers expect. But step into our North Patchogue service area and you’ll find Italian specialties, BBQ catering, custom dessert packages, and everything in between.
We use fresh, often locally sourced ingredients because you can taste the difference. And we’ve built our reputation on showing up when we say we will, with the food we promised, prepared the way you ordered it.
First, we talk through your event—size, style, dietary needs, budget. No pressure, just honest conversation about what will work best for your specific situation.
Next, we create a menu that fits. Maybe that’s our signature bagel platters with homemade cream cheeses. Maybe it’s full Italian catering with all the classics. Or maybe it’s BBQ where we bring the whole setup and cook fresh on-site.
Then we handle everything else. Setup, service, cleanup—whatever your event needs. You get to focus on your guests while we make sure the food part runs smoothly.
The result is an event where people actually talk about how good the food was, and you don’t have to stress about any of it.
Ready to get started?
This isn’t just food delivery. When you book Brendel’s for your North Patchogue event, you’re getting comprehensive catering that covers all the bases.
Our breakfast catering includes fresh bagels, bialys, and flagels with our signature cream cheese selections, plus made-to-order breakfast sandwiches cut by the foot to feed any size group. For lunch and dinner, we offer everything from Italian specialties to custom sandwich platters with premium Boar’s Head meats.
But here’s what sets us apart in the North Patchogue area—our BBQ catering service brings the entire operation to you. We arrive with professional grills, cook your food fresh on-site, and handle the complete setup and breakdown. No reheated food, no missing equipment, no cleanup left for you to handle.
Every catering package can be customized to your exact needs, dietary restrictions included. And because we’ve been serving Long Island for years, we understand the local preferences and expectations that make events successful here.
For most events, two weeks notice gives us plenty of time to plan your menu and secure the right team for your date. However, we can often accommodate shorter notice depending on the size and complexity of your event.
During busy seasons—like graduation season, holidays, or summer wedding months—booking 3-4 weeks ahead ensures you get your preferred date and menu options. For large corporate events or events requiring our full BBQ setup service, earlier booking helps us coordinate all the equipment and staffing needed.
If you’re planning something last-minute, call us anyway. We’ve pulled together successful events with just a few days notice when our schedule allows, and we’re always honest about what we can deliver well versus what might be rushed.
Our BBQ catering is a complete service—we bring professional-grade grills, all cooking equipment, serving ware, and a trained team to cook and serve fresh food at your location. This isn’t reheated BBQ delivered in pans.
Menu options include classic favorites like ribs, pulled pork, grilled chicken, and beef brisket, plus traditional sides like coleslaw, baked beans, and potato salad. We can also grill fresh vegetables and offer lighter options for mixed groups.
The service includes complete setup before your event, cooking throughout the event to ensure hot, fresh food, and full cleanup afterward. You provide the location and guests—we handle everything else. Most North Patchogue clients are surprised by how stress-free this makes their outdoor events, especially compared to trying to coordinate multiple vendors or doing the cooking themselves.
Yes, and this is where our full-service approach really shows its value. We work with dietary restrictions regularly—gluten-free options, vegetarian and vegan selections, kosher requirements, and various food allergies.
For our bagel and breakfast catering, we offer gluten-free bagels and can prepare separate platters to avoid cross-contamination. Our Italian catering includes several naturally vegetarian options, and we can modify most dishes to accommodate specific needs.
The key is discussing these requirements during our initial planning conversation, not mentioning them the day before your event. This gives us time to source appropriate ingredients, prepare items safely, and ensure your guests with restrictions have genuinely good options, not just afterthoughts. We’ve found that thoughtful accommodation of dietary needs often impresses all your guests, not just those with restrictions.
We serve the entire North Patchogue area and surrounding Long Island communities including Patchogue, East Patchogue, Medford, Holbrook, and other nearby Suffolk County locations. Our delivery range extends throughout central Long Island.
For our standard catering delivery, we typically serve within a 15-20 mile radius of North Patchogue without additional travel charges. For our full-service BBQ catering where we bring equipment and staff, we may extend that range for larger events, though some travel fees may apply for distant locations.
If you’re planning an event outside our typical service area, call us anyway. We’ve catered events across Long Island when the event size and timing work with our schedule. We’re always upfront about any additional costs and whether we can provide the same level of service at more distant locations.
Food freshness is non-negotiable for us, especially for larger North Patchogue events where food might be served over several hours. We use several strategies depending on your event type and menu.
For breakfast and lunch catering, items like bagels and sandwiches are prepared the morning of your event and delivered in temperature-controlled containers. Hot items stay hot, cold items stay properly chilled, and everything arrives at optimal serving temperature.
For our BBQ catering service, freshness isn’t an issue because we’re cooking throughout your event. Guests get food straight off the grill, and we adjust cooking timing based on your guest flow. For events with our Italian catering, hot dishes are prepared in our kitchen and transported in professional warming equipment that maintains proper serving temperature for hours.
The bottom line: we’ve never had a client complain about food quality or freshness, because we built our systems around preventing those problems before they happen.
Our catering packages are designed to take the guesswork out of feeding groups while usually saving you money compared to ordering individual items. Each package includes complementary items that work well together and appropriate quantities for your group size.
For example, our breakfast packages include bagels, cream cheese selections, and beverages in proportions that work for typical groups. You’re not trying to figure out how many dozen bagels you need or whether you have enough cream cheese variety.
Individual ordering makes sense when you have very specific requirements, want to supplement an existing menu, or have a group with unusual preferences. We’re flexible either way, but most North Patchogue clients find the packages easier to plan and more economical. During our planning conversation, we can walk through both options and recommend what typically works best for events similar to yours.
